The Best Valentine's Present Ever

Are you sitting down?! The reason I ask is because......Nathan is home!!!! Isaac and I picked him up from the NICU Valentine's Day morning! Talk about the best Valentine's Day present ever! :)

My parents (Rick and Joan) visited Valentine's weekend. But we didn't tell them that he was coming home when they arrived for the weekend Friday night (that is why I didn't post anything on his blog about specifics and my mom checks his blog daily). Isaac and I got up early Saturday morning and I told my mom that we were going to pick up their Valentine's present, to relax and have breakfast while we're out; and I told her when we got back we would all go see Nathan. Our departure at the hospital took longer than expected so my dad kind of figured out what we were up to......or so he says. :)

Nathan is doing great at home so far. We're slowly getting into a routine together. He has a pretty good feeding schedule started. It varies a bit between 3 and 2 hours; with an occasional 4 hour stretch. There have been a couple long nights so far (and I'm sure many more to come); these were not so much getting up numerous times, but the length of each time getting up was long.

Here are some awesome pictures to enjoy.

Excited Mommy after feeding Nathan before our trip home.
Here we are right before leaving the hospital (for good)! :)
So happy this day has finally come!
Nathan all bundled in his car seat in Daddy's car.

Finally....home at last. Now we'll put his crib to good use! :) He slept all the way home and in his room for a long time....even through all the visiting from friends and family that were here for his home-coming.
Grandpa and Grandma Campbell welcoming him home!
Grandpa and Grandma Wiese welcoming him home!
So peaceful....at home at last!
Trying out his new bouncy seat for the first time. He likes it.
"Hi everybody! My name is Nathan and I'm so excited to be home! You'll have to stop by and visit me sometime."
