The cats don't seem to mind Nathan. The only thing they do is maybe sniff him briefly and then go on their way doing what cats do best. They are not alarmed by his noises or cries at all. I do make sure I close Nathan's bedroom door at night when we're sleeping so I know for sure there are no cats in his room (crib); it is Daisy's nature to cuddle. But during the day I keep his door open. The cats are usually lounging about on the main floor somewhere in the sun or on their special mat.
Nathan and I adventured out to Hy-Vee and Target on Tuesday. I was nervous at first, not knowing how he would do or how to rest his infant car seat in the grocery cart. It turned out to not be a big deal at all.....he slept the entire time and his car seat fit right in. I really needed to go to Hy-Vee to pick up some groceries then thought if Nathan was still doing well we would make our way to Target. Sure enough he was still sleeping and we made both stops.
We went to the doctor's today (Wednesday, Feb 18) for his two month shots. He did really well considering but now his little legs are sore. :( They weighed him today at 6 lbs 12 ozs. I think their scale is different than NICU's scale because it seems quite an increase in ounces but at lease it's an increase and not loss in weight. He is 19" long now.
Here he is at 8 weeks old.
Splish, splash...I'm taking a wash cloth bath!
I smell so good after my bath! So fresh and so clean, clean!
