Baby Dedication

Pastor Kent Wagner performed Nathan's baby dedication on Sunday, February 22 at Johnston Evangelical Free Church. Our scripture message to Nathan was Proverbs 3:1-6 (Daddy read this to the congregation). Nathan received a lot of aw's when we were walking up the stage. Pastor Kent briefly explained some of Nathan's story to the congregation and what an answer of prayer he is. Aaron recorded his dedication so we would have it on video to show my parents since they were unable to attend and to have as a keepsake. When it is ready, I think I will post it on his blog as well.

I was a bit nervous planning for this morning because I wasn't sure what Nathan's feeding schedule would be that day. Once I knew what his early morning feeding time was, I then could "calculate" when the next feeding would be and it cleared our church attendance and dedication. The Lord was looking out for us because it was just fine!!! Nathan did really well during the dedication and service....he slept the entire time with a few added cute coos and grunts.

We went to Monte and Denise's house after church for lunch and playing games with the family. So in addition to preparing going to church for the first time with Nathan, I had to plan for our afternoon stay at their house. This meant to bring along his Pack N Play for sleeping, monitor, extra diapers, extra clothes, extra burp clothes, milk for his vitamins, etc. My planning went well and we had a really nice visit. Nathan never even went in the Pack N Play for his nap because Grandma Wiese held him almost the entire time. :) He's a cuddle bug.

Here are some special pictures from his baby dedication for you to enjoy. Also a great family picture of us taken that afternoon.
