It's amazing how quickly a year and a half has gone by already. Nathan is certainly all boy with loving the outdoors, making car/truck sounds, and playing with any type of ball. Nathan turned 18 months old on June 23, 2010. Enjoy reading about what this little guy has been up to.
* Nathan likes to click his tongue (will take turns with you too). This is also a great distraction to get him to stop spitting. It's really cute to hear him jabber all the time. He makes a deep (almost growling noise) when making his truck/car sound while pushing a vehicle along the floor. Finally, the word "mama" has been added to his vocabulary, as well as "up" and "ball" (actually "bah bah" is how he says ball; not sure how ball became a two syllable word).
* He can stack a few blocks making a tower and is doing a good job of putting plastic shapes in the matching cut-out hole. He loves to take toys out of one container and put them in another; and repeat. It's not uncommon to see him rearrange his toys. Nathan had a great time with a few paper bags I brought groceries home in. He loved filling them with toys and moving the bags all over the kitchen. It was very entertaining to watch.
* Nathan now likes to offer you a toy or food (even though the bites of food are for him). He just loves music; this makes him dance to about anything (even to TV commercials that have music). Nathan has a few ways of dancing - 1) while standing he will rock from side to side, 2) while standing he will bend his knees down and up while leaning forward a little bit, or 3) while sitting on his knees he will bop his bottom up and down. Too cute!
* He sways back and forth when you say tick-tock inspired by the clock at Grandpa and Grandma Wiese's house. Nathan still sleeps on his knees with is bottom up in the air. He is wearing size 24 month clothes and size 5 diapers still. He has four molars slowly making their appearance (one on each side).
* Nathan had a great report at his doctor's appointments (developmental checkup and well-baby checkup). He weighted in at 25 pounds and measured 33 inches long.
Now for the extra fun part...pictures. Enjoy!
