First Taste of Rice Cereal

Mommy prepared Nathan's first meal of rice cereal on July 17, 2009. He wasn't quite sure what to do with his tongue; his tongue was reacting like it was a bottle instead of a spoon. He didn't seem to mind the taste at all, just the fact that it was something other than a bottle at his mouth. The other cute thing he did was just stick out his tongue a little bit and then held it there like he didn't know what to do with it. It was really cute to watch. Daddy captured this fun first on video too. The plan is to have him get use to this whole new concept of eating by trying about a tablespoon's worth or so once a day for a while. On Sunday (July 19) he did quite well. We will see how he progresses as we increase in cereal thickness and quantity. This is so exciting!!
